Julie’s Bio
Julie Woods. a.k.a. ‘That Blind Woman’ is a disability advocate, cooking demonstrator, motivational speaker, and avid pursuer of big goals. After going blind in 1997 at the age of 31, she learned to say ‘why not’ to opportunities that came her way. “Do you want to learn braille?” “Do you want to walk a half marathon?” and yes, even “Do you want to referee a game of nude touch rugby?”. Dubbed ‘The Queen of Cooking Without Looking’, has also demonstrated her culinary skills in schools and on TV. Julie’s 7 word life story is “Sighted, Partially sighted, Blind, Happy, Sad, Happy”
