Professor Lea Waters is from the University of Melbourne’s Graduate School of Education. Lea is a leading researcher and practitioner in the field of wellbeing in education. Her research is ground-breaking and has contributed significantly to Positive Education, Positive Organizations, and Strength-Based Parenting and Teaching. In 2020, the Governor-General of Australia appointed Lea as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her long-term work in addressing youth mental illness in Australia and her leadership in building the field of positive psychology.
