We know teachers will have been feeling more nervous than students so Adrienne Buckingham talked to Rowan Taigel, experienced educator and wellbeing facilitator with NZIWR and WhatifPLD, about advice for teachers this week. Her focus on high tolerance and low expectations, establishing the basics, practising self-compassion and being willing to get it wrong are just as helpful for the adults of students going back to school.
